Dr. Shawn Bachorick, DC, BSc
Our founder and head clinician Dr. Shawn Bachorick has been a chiropractor in Regina for over 20 years. He graduated from Northwest College of Chiropractic in 1998 and has several hundred hours of additional training through the Carrick Institute and the International Association of Functional Neurology in childhood neurodevelopment disorders (board-certified by the American College of Functional Neurology in 2009); the co-management of complex cases including migraine, concussion, vertigo and other balance disorders; and complex whiplash cases with concussion sequelae. Dr. Bachorick’s professional interests include balance and vertigo assessment and rehabilitation, concussion screening for sports as well as prehabilitation and rehabilitation of athletes; assessment of balance and fall-risk in the elderly; application of dietary and supplement strategies for reducing cognitive impairment in the elderly; and traumatic brain injury. His future goals include training in non-invasive neuromodulation protocols for gait and balance disorders, and promotion of concussion recovery.
Dr. Larissa Wheeler, ND, BHS
Dr. Larissa Wheeler, ND, a graduate of the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine, is a vibrant primary care naturopathic doctor who has a passion for helping people live their best life through naturopathic medicine. Her interests include skin health (what led her to study naturopathic medicine in the first place), mental health and stress management, hormonal and reproductive health, and pediatric and young adult health. Dr. Wheeler, ND, also practises acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine, and has advanced knowledge in herbal medicine. As a regulated naturopathic doctor, Dr. Wheeler, ND, is able to perform physical exams and order lab work. Dr. Wheeler, ND's ultimate goal for her patients is to live a vibrant life and love the skin that they are in.
Cynthia Martin, RMT, BA
Cynthia completed Western College of Remedial Massage Therapies' three-year program in 1995 and is registered with the Massage Therapist Association of Saskatchewan, Inc. (MTAS). Her approach to massage therapy is to work with you. Whether it be stress reduction, chronic conditions, motor vehicle or work place accidents, ergonomic challenges, recovery from surgery, Cynthia has a treatment plan to help you. Of special interest is mind science and how our nervous system influences healing and our perceptions of pain. She has volunteered in the community for such events as the MS Bike, Telemiracle and various sporting events, as well for the Massage Therapist Association of Saskatchewan and the Canadian Massage Therapist Association in several executive positions. Cynthia also has a degree in English. When time permits, she writes articles about massage therapy for publication and edits material for other writers.
Devon Taylor, PT, BSC
Devon is a University of Saskatchewan graduate with a BSc in kinesiology and a BSc in physical therapy, and has completed extensive post-graduate coursework in manual therapy, functional movement, and tendon injuries. He has been practising in the Regina area since 2004. Devon’s practice focuses on manual therapy (especially peripheral joints), assessing and correcting muscle imbalances, and functional movement dysfunction. He has been heavily involved in sports for his entire life and enjoys golfing, fishing, hiking and camping with his two kids.
Crystal Barrett, RMT
Crystal graduated from the Western College of Remedial Massage Therapies in 2017 and has since become certified in myofascial cupping and sports therapy. Crystal combines relaxation and therapeutic techniques to target and address every client’s individual needs in hopes to return them to function. She believes that with the use of massage, exercise and targeted stretches, she can help her clients feel their very best. Being an athlete herself, she understands the aches, pains and injuries that come with training. Crystal’s passion for helping people drives her to gain more experience and knowledge each and every day.
